Moses Sumney – græ

Oh. My. LORD! Where was I when this man was first coming up?! This is something truly magical. Everything that made me fall in love with Clarence Clarity, but with so much more soul. This is “Post” or “Medulla”-era Björk if she’d grown up in the Baptist church. Moses Sumney’s “græ” calls to me in a way not much did last year. Musical. Mystical. Fearless. Unexpected in almost every way. This is Afro-futurism, New Negro Renaissance of the highest order. I’ve been above the clouds. This is the music that fills me up as I float among them.
