This is “Post” or “Medulla”-era Björk if she’d grown up in the Baptist church. Moses Sumney’s “græ” calls to me in a way not much did last year. Musical. Mystical. Fearless. Unexpected in almost every way. This is Afro-futurism, New Negro Renaissance of the highest order. I’ve been above the clouds. This is the music that fills me up as I float among them.
