This is the type of music we need. I don’t say that facetiously. God bless us, Public Enemy has stayed on the scene. We are truly a gifted generation to still have our elders like Chuck D to continue to teach us. That he hasn’t given up on us yet and just decided we’re a lost cause. “…When the Grid Goes Down” is obviously classic PE. Chuck D’s resonant timbre rattling loose the dust some of us have lodged in our minds. It doesn’t stray far from the composition or delivery, but it’s relevant. Public Enemy is always relevant. Thank you, Elder Chuck D, for imparting more of your wisdom. I promise you, many of us are listening.
